Because of that, a home with a calm, compatible canine companion could be especially comforting for him.

Whisk does not need pity. He needs consistency.

A predictable routine. A soft bed. Gentle guidance. A dog friend to follow. And a person he can curl up beside at the end of the day.

Once Whisk learns where things are and begins to feel safe, his blindness is simply one part of who he is — not the thing that defines him.

Somewhere out there is someone who won’t look at Whisk and see a blind dog.

They’ll simply see their dog.

Special needs: Blind
Status: Adoptable

Whisk is approximately five years old and may be a White Shepherd mix. He is one of those quietly gentle dogs who asks for very little and gives so much in return.

He is mellow, affectionate, cuddly and deeply committed to the art of napping.

Whisk is blind, but he has learned to navigate the world by listening, trusting and following the dogs around him. Other dogs give him confidence. He listens for them, follows their lead and gradually becomes brave enough to explore unfamiliar spaces.
