Meet SLADE

Slade is a 5 year old Golden Retriever mix with a calm, friendly nature and a lovely way of getting along with other dogs. After being hit by a car, he suffered a broken pelvis and a dislocated jaw. His story began with pain, but there is so much more ahead of him.

His adoption is now confirmed, and a doting, retired dad is waiting to welcome him home. Slade’s next chapter will include summers by the lake, leisurely days together and the simple joy of being someone’s beloved companion. We suspect he’ll appoint himself supervisor of afternoon naps and insist that retirement is better with a dog beside you.

While we arrange his journey home, we’re celebrating everything waiting on the other side: belonging, companionship and a future filled with love
