Meet SHIMA

Shima's story began tied to a street pole, abandoned and left behind. 

This scruffy little terrier mix looked more like a tiny sheep than a dog, her face almost hidden beneath a wonderfully wild coat of fur. She may not have looked like everyone's idea of a perfect dog—but to us, she was unforgettable. 

And beneath all that fluff? 

Quite possibly the smartest dog to ever grace our sanctuary. 

Shima simply had to know what everyone was doing. She opened doors, investigated cupboards, pulled open the blinds to supervise the neighbourhood, and believed every conversation was her business. 

Curious, clever, endlessly nosey, and wonderfully entertaining, she kept us laughing every single day.
