Minto — lovingly known by the people who care for him as Meatball. He quickly became a staff favourite thanks to his sweet nature, goofy personality, and serious commitment to cuddling.
Minto is currently carrying some extra weight, which means he moves a little more slowly and is continuing a carefully managed health journey with appropriate portions and gentle exercise. What he lacks in speed, however, he more than makes up for in affection.
He gets along well with other dogs and has shown no aggression, but Meatball is a little greedy when it comes to love. He adores being the centre of his person’s attention and would be very happy as the only dog in the home. A compatible canine companion may also work, as long as there is plenty of love to go around.
His ideal family will love him exactly as he is while helping him continue becoming healthier — gentle walks, sensible meals, plenty of affection, and a comfortable place to snooze nearby.
Minto is cuddly, endearing, occasionally adorably grumbly, and completely unapologetic about asking for attention. Underneath all that Meatball is simply a dog looking for something permanent: his person and his forever home.
