An update on Maze
Cancer stole her journey home. Don't wait to give another dog theirs.
We are heartbroken to share that sweet Maze, a beloved favourite at our partner rescue in Lebanon, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. While she will not be making her flight home to Canada, she is surrounded by the utmost love, comfort, and dignity in the gentle care of the shelter team who adored her.
Maze’s story is a heavy reminder that time is precious. If you’ve been waiting for the "perfect moment" to adopt, foster, or open your home to a rescue, please don't wait.
Our waiting dogs need your love today.
About MAZE
Maze is a beautiful senior girl who has spent far too long waiting for a family of her own. Born on March 3, 2016, she has been living in the shelter for years, patiently watching other dogs leave while she continues to hope that one day it will be her turn.
Maze is blind, but she doesn't let that define who she is. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and loves the comfort of kind people. Once she feels safe, she enjoys quiet companionship, soft cuddles, and simply being close to those she trusts.
Her favourite things are spending time with people who love her, relaxing in a peaceful environment, and receiving gentle affection. She is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and would thrive in a home without cats.
Maze has overcome so much in her life, yet she continues to greet the world with kindness. She deserves to know what it feels like to sleep in a warm bed, to have a family waiting for her, and to spend her golden years surrounded by love instead of shelter walls.
