But Floy’s recovery wasn’t only physical.

For a while, she seemed deeply sad and withdrawn. After everything she had been through, she needed time, patience and safety before she was ready to engage with the world again.

Slowly, Floy has begun coming out of her shell.

Now her sweetness is showing. Her curiosity is returning. And that beautiful Golden smile is appearing more and more.

Floy is friendly, gentle and good with other dogs. She would benefit from a patient, loving home that will allow her to continue building confidence at her own pace.

She doesn’t need someone to rush her.

She needs someone who will give her consistency, affection, security and the chance to understand that the difficult part of her story is over.

Floy has already done the healing.

Now she needs the home.

Floy is a beautiful Golden Retriever with a soft, gentle nature and one of those faces that is very hard to forget.

Her story began in June 2025, when she was found trapped in a canal after being hit by a car. Her leg was badly injured and she was unable to get herself out. A Good Samaritan climbed in to help her and contacted rescuers.

Floy was brought to safety, treated, and given the time she needed to heal. Her injured leg has now healed.
