Meet DOUGLAS
Douglas was one of the great loves of our sanctuary.
A handsome red Golden Retriever with a mischievous streak, Douglas could make everyone laugh without even trying. He was equal parts comedian and cuddle bug, always ready to charm his way into your heart—and probably into a few things he wasn't supposed to be doing.
When Douglas was first rescued, he was carrying a devastating injury: a massive head wound. His future was uncertain, but his spirit never gave up.
As he healed, his playful personality began to shine. He reminded us every day that joy can return, even after unimaginable hardship.
Then something wonderful happened.
Our foster family fell completely in love with him.
The very same incredible family who adopted Charlie knew Douglas belonged with them forever too.
Today, Douglas spends his days exactly as they should be spent—running beside bikes and rollerblades with his two canine brothers, Bentley and Charlie, playing with his human siblings, soaking up endless love from Mom and Dad, and... politely tolerating the family cat.
Adopted. Loved. Home.
